Harbor Island Medical Center @Summerlin changed its name and mission Spring of 2021. Dr. Gary DeShazo took his practice of 37 years and rebranded it to represent the legacy he wants to represent. Safe Harbor Medical, a non-profit community health center, was created. Tina Alicea as CEO works closely with Dr. DeShazo to bring his vision of a medical center that is patient-centered to reality.
Developing a team of providers with Dr. DeShazo's knowledge and passion for patient care was the foundation. More providers mean more specialties which means more services for our patients. The team is growing in knowledge, diversity, and services.
The Safe Harbor Medical vision is becoming a reality allowing Dr. DeShazo the opportunity to focus on family and fishing back home in Missouri. His impact on the community will be felt for generations to come.
